Warranty Policy & Coverage

1. What Is Covered

Lifetime Hardware Limited Warranty

Grace Garage Door LLC provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on select installed garage door hardware (including commercial-grade rollers, heavy-duty hinges, high-cycle springs, and heavy-gauge tracks) against defect in materials and craftsmanship under normal residential use.

  • Defect Coverage: Snapping, mechanical failure, or material defect of covered hardware components directly resulting from manufacturing or installation error.
  • Resolution: Grace Garage Door LLC will repair or replace any defective hardware component covered under this warranty.

Manufacturer Warranties

Garage door panels, electric openers, motors, keypads, and digital accessories carry dedicated warranties provided directly by the original manufacturer (e.g., LiftMaster, Clopay, Amarr). Grace Garage Door LLC will gladly assist homeowners with filing and executing valid manufacturer claims for products we supply and install.

2. Exclusions & Limitations

While we offer robust coverage on our hardware, this Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty applies exclusively to hardware defects and does not constitute full or all-inclusive coverage.

The following conditions, items, and scenarios are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

Normal Wear & Tear & Maintenance

  • Normal operational noise (garage doors naturally make sound during movement).
  • Cosmetic wear, scuffs, paint fading, surface rust, or natural aging over time.
  • Damage resulting from a lack of routine homeowner maintenance (e.g., failure to clean tracks or lubricate moving parts).

Misuse, Accidents & External Impact

  • Physical impact or vehicle damage (e.g., backing into the door, lawnmower strikes, foreign object impact).
  • Improper or forceful operation of the garage door or automated opener.
  • Misuse, neglect, abuse, or operating the door with broken springs or obstructed tracks.

Weather, Environmental & Structural Conditions

  • Damage caused by weather-related events, severe storms, lightning, wind, or flooding.
  • Water intrusion, excessive ambient moisture, rust, or environmental corrosion.
  • Damage resulting from foundation settling, structural shifting, or building movement.

Third-Party Work & Modifications

  • Unauthorized Work: Any modifications, repairs, adjustments, or service performed by other companies or the homeowner will void applicable warranty coverage.
  • Non-Approved Components: The use of parts, accessories, or components not supplied and installed by Grace Garage Door LLC will void coverage.
  • Non-Covered Service Calls: Service calls, diagnostic visits, or adjustments that are not directly related to a proven, covered hardware defect are subject to standard service charges.
